Confucius was a teacher, politician, and philosopher from China. He founded Confucianism, which is a way of life. It preaches human heartedness and goodness. He also taught that people need to act in five important relationships. Many schools were founded to pass down his teachings. Civil Service Exams were based on his teachings, because leaders during the Song Dynasty believed that those who followed Confucianism would be rational, moral, and able to maintain order. He is often credited with the editing and writing of many of the Chinese Classics.
